Terminals 2 and 3

Mantra Sydney Airport

A few minutes' walk to T2 and T3; about 5 minutes' drive to T1
Exterior of the Mantra Sydney Airport hotel

A short walk from the domestic terminals and a quick drive from T1, according to the airport's own page. Rooms from $149.

Suits: Travellers on domestic flights, and business travellers, who would rather walk to the terminal than wait for a shuttle.

Why choose it: The airport lists it a few minutes' walk from T2 and T3, and about a five-minute drive from the International terminal. Rooms are listed from $149.

The compromise: Sources differ on the walk (a few minutes against about nine minutes to T2), and no shuttle is listed. For T1 you need a car, taxi or the Terminal Transfer Bus.

Rates: Check Booking.com or book direct for the best prices.

Our stay: We have stayed at Mantra Sydney Airport and found it perfect, especially for business travel. If you want an easy walk to T2 or T3 before your flight, this is a good choice, and if you would rather not walk, transport to the terminals is very easy. In our experience it is the closest hotel to the domestic terminals. The rooms are clean, fresh and modern in feel, and they are quiet. It is an all-round good hotel.

Eating: The hotel has a good restaurant serving standard food, and McDonald's is close by. There are plenty of other options if you walk over to the T2 and T3 terminals.

The notes under "Our stay" are from our own visits. Other details, such as walking times, shuttle times and prices, are not yet verified, so check them with the hotel before you book.
